Loading ...This week Ryan Newman and Sprint Cup teams were at Las Vegas testing.
From what I can tell, Ryan Newman and Roy McCauley had a decent run at Las Vegas. Newman had a cumulative speed through Tuesday afternoons testing of 184.250 ranking him 13th.
8 cars at Las Vegas ended up crashing. Those included were Regan Smith, Sam Hornish Jr., Dario Franchitti, David Ragan, Mark Martin, Jeff Burton, Tony Stewart and Michael Waltrip. It appears that Burton, Stewart and Waltrip crashed due to mechanicald failures.
Suprising during some of the test sessions winds reached 60 mph. Most veteran Cup drivers are reported as saying that the winds were not that big of a deal, where some of the Indy drivers said that the wind really affected them.
