POST RACE QUOTES WILL BE HERE
Ryan Newman (No. 11 Kodak Dodge Charger) Finished 16th
“We struggled for sure. We started the race just really loose. I don’t think that I ever raced a looser racecar than that in my life. I fell back a bit, got back on the lead lap and finished in the top-20. I wish it was a 200 lap race because we didn’t achieve much from lap 201 on.”
END
In the first 20 laps Newman reported that he was real loose up high and “kind of” tight on the bottom. At this point he was up to 14th after falling back to 19th at the start of the race.
LAP 30
Newman reported that he was real loose and wanted a pound out of the right rear and probably a round out as well.
LAP 34 Caution
The second caution of the day came out on lap 34 when Scott Rigs went into the wall. Newman and McCauley decided to put 2 pounds in the left year and take 1.5 out of the left rear. He went in the pits in 16th and came out in 15th.

LAP 109 Caution
Caution comes out and Newman and McCauley decide to take 3 rounds out of the right rear. Newman entered the pits in 21st. They had discussed putting rubbers in as well but Newman did not want to do that because he wanted to stay as close as possible to the front of the lap down cars to TRY and get in the Lucky Dog position.
Newman came out of the pits in 21st – 1 lap down. They had to get a ruling to see who was the first out of the pits – Newman or Jimmie Johnson. No ruling came from NASCAR so Jimmie started in front of Ryan in the Lucky Dog position.

LAP 285

The plan was that if the cars behind Newman pitted, then Newman was going to dive down and pit as well. That is what happened and Newman was the first car to go to the pits.
They just put 4 tires on and that was all.
He exited pit road in 14th, loosing 1 position.
