Krissie Newman Says “Don’t Believe Everything You Read On The Internet”
In Krissie Newman’s blog - Krissie’s Korner - she says that we Ryan Newman fans should not be getting to excited about things that we read on the internet concerning hers and Ryan’s future.
And that was posted on the same day that we started hearing about the “Verbal Agreement” between Stewart-HAAS Racing and Ryan Newman.
There is a lot of speculation to how “good” this rumor is. Ryan said in an interview today that he has made his decision. Krissie says that some reporters have put out stories that sound factual but are not. She goes on to say that there IS NO VERBAL AGREEMENT!
Don’t believe everything you read on the internet! There have been some recent articles posted that reporters have put out that sound factual. However, Ryan has not verbally agreed to anything and is still working on his 2009 and future plans
She also talks about how their weekend is going to be and that they are dropping by Watkins Glen on the way to Pocono. She said they are there a little early to spend time with her family before the weekend craziness.
…….before the race weekend craziness. Which is now going to be more insane thanks to an ill informed reporter from ESPN. Sorry, if you can’t tell I was a little ticked.
She stresses in her posting that we should not be jumping to conclusions.
All of this makes me think about it in 2 different ways.
1. Why would Krissie be posting something like this? Is it because reporters maybe got word that Newman had a verbal agreement but screwed up who that verbal agreement was with. Meaning not Stewart-HAAS Racing.
2. Why would she be trying to steer our thoughts away from Stewart-HAAS Racing? I can not think of a good reason to steer us away. If it is true or false information, why would she tell the world not to believe everything we read?
I guess both of those are about the same way of thinking, but I can not wrap my brain around it. Maybe she just does not want everyone to get to excited in case it falls through.
Or maybe Ryan is going to go to another team other than Stewart-HAAS Racing.
Kind of puts me right back in the dark except that I honestly believe that he is going to go to Stewart-HAAS Racing. Why do I believe that…..well……..because like the rest of us I have bought into the media. Funny when it comes to sports I buy into the media, but in politics and life I don’t buy into them at all….at least not most of them.
Well head over and read her blog. If you don’t visit it regularly you should. She puts out a post about once a week.

It’s all about the art of negotiation. How can you negotiate a deal to the point of a WRITTEN agreement if the other party knows you have limited your options to 1? Rule number 1 in negotiation is have fierce competition for your services. Don’t let anybody know what your true preference is until your name is on the dotted line.
Mark I have to completely agree and I completely understand the negotiating part.
It still seems that Krissie went out of her way to make sure people did not necessarily believe what they were hearing.
They are still negotiating and to come out with anything would be premature. He was obviously in negotiations with JGR and sponsorship couldn’g be obtained in time for next season and similarly with RCR. But we have also heard from both of those camps and we know that they are no long options. There really isn’t another organization that Ryan would be interested in. Not Gillette Everham or Petty. And I don’t believe DEI either. It is just a time to get all of the ducks in a row and if you don’t have anything to announce it surely gets frustrating answering all of the media questions.
I admire what Krissie did. There is a differance betwwen rumor and outright lies. I have been appalled at the amount of garbage ut there.
Mainstream Media has become the National Enquirer. I feel sorry for Ryan and Krissie. This all has to be so frustrating, and add Ruasty’s big mouth on top of it. Sheesh.
I’m confused now… Does this mean hes going to Stewart Haas, because if he was going why would she even say something like that???
Krissie is amazing! We were blogging last night and discussing something that appeared on NASCAR.com last night. While we were all discussing and wondering what it meant, Krissie came on and said that nothing being reported was accurate and that they would surely let us know when it is. I thought that was really kind of her. I know they are completely overwhelmed by all of the media hype!
