Ryan Newman News and Information

Ryan Newman will be starting 16th for todays race in Loudon.

The things that sticks out the most for me this week is that Jayski reported that Stewart’s deal with HAAS CNC Racing was as good as done and that Ryan Newman was going with Stewart. Newman’s sponsor to Burger King.

Then we heard……..nothing!

I don’t know what to make of that. Here is a quote from Stewart on the situation.

“When we know when it’s going to be, we’ll let people know,” he said. “Every week, somebody asks. It’s like kids in the back of the car going, ‘Are we there yet?’ No, we’re not there yet. We’ll let you know when we are there.”

That quote is from the same day that Jayski reported that the deal was complete.

Newman’s camp has done a fantastic job of being quite. The last thing that we have really heard out of Newman is that he put Penske on notice. Letting Penske know that if team performance did not pick up, then he was leaving. My opinion is that he is leaving anyway.

The total lack of any news or rumors since Jayski’s story has me wondering if that means it is completely true and that Stewart and Newman’s camps are being really quiet. Maybe an announcement today before/after the race. Might be worth catching the race just for that.

Or that once again something was reported by someone that does not have a clue.

A lot like me. I don’t have a clue. I just put on here what I find and what my speculation is.
