Ryan Newman News and Information

Another short track this week. After a week off i am ready for some racing. I am going through withdrawals to seem some racin’. Got to see some of the truck race yesterday. How about that Chrissy Wallace finishing 17th in here first NASCAR race. Congrats to her.

I should have our first participant for A Fans View reporting back to me when he gets back from Martinsville. Can’t wait for that first addition to come out. Should be on Tuesday I think.

Also, I have added a chat room to the site. I will be on there during the race today, so I hope you can join me HERE. Get together with other race fans to talk about the race while it’s going on. This is multi-room chat application with user profiles, file sharing, smileys…..the whole works.

I am still “testing” and modifying it, so at some points from here on out it may temporarily break, but part of modifying it is getting people to get in there and use it. No work will be done on it during the race though.

Well I was slow getting out Ryan’s practice and qualifying times this week. Well, I was slow getting a post out about it. In fact I have not put anything out yet for practiced 2 and 3. But just as a reminder, his times and positions are updated automatically right on the home page. So, you can just come to homepage and check out the positions and times.

Newman’s practice and qualifying times were pretty consistent except for his second practice. I don’t know why he practiced so bad, but he was 35th in practice. I can’t find any news on this.

I hope it’s not a bad omen, but Newman is starting 13th and I think he was in 13th when he got collected in the crash at Bristol.

If that does not happen again, I think Newman will do really good today.

Jeni and I have been participating in One Bad Wheels Champs, Chumps and Sleepers fantasy league. It is pretty simple and straight forward…..right up my alley.

Jeni and I have been picking separatly so that we don’t know how each other picks.

For Champs we both picked Jeff Gordon and Denny Hamlin. That is one thing I hate about Fantasy leagues. Picking the right drivers and not the ones that you want to root for.

For Chumps we picked Greg Biffle adn Martin Truex JR.

And for Sleepers we picked a differently. Jeni picked David Ragan and Casey Mears. Mine were Jaime McMurray and Michael Waltrip. I think Waltrip may be a little risky but oh well.
